Why Work With Me?

What “feeds” my soul? For most of my life it was FOOD but, NOT anymore…

It sucks being fat!  Although my mom so sweetly disagrees, I was a chubby kid that turned into a chubby teenager.  Somehow, I got lucky enough to lose the freshman 15 or 25 instead of gaining it my first year of college.  This was my first taste of being thin, feeling good, confident in my own skin, able to wear cute clothes and happy to face the world. 

After a year at this weight, I vowed fat was never going to be an option for me again…so I majored in nutrition and thought if I learned all the right things to eat I would never gain the weight back…wrong! My entire life became about food.  I was consumed with diets, calories and exercise.  Not a day went by that I wasn’t totally engulfed by and chained to the food choices I made.  I felt good after I ate little, guilty if I made the wrong decision and went to bed every night ready to “start a new diet tomorrow.” 

Eventually I put on every pound I had lost…YIKES fat again! Then my life took a turn.  I was in a job I loved (outside of nutrition) and I only thought about food when I was hungry…mind boggling I know! One day the weight was gone with little effort on my part. That was 8 amazing years ago, when I was able to say goodbye to dieting, it transformed me inside and out. 8 years of freedom. I can still see myself in front of the mirror putting my life on hold because I was too fat! I wanted to live & play BIG in this wonderful game of life and when the weight was gone I could..I stepped out to be bigger and bolder in a smaller body!

Of course, I didn’t ask why or how I lost the weight until I landed back in the nutrition and weight loss industry and was working with hundreds of clients.  At that point, I was forced to reexamine myself, learn the secrets to success, and pinpoint the process I went through so I could teach others. Here is what I know for sure….

The good news for the majority of us is “it’s in our head” and thin is just a thought away!  I ate when I was happy, sad, mad, sick, stressed, bored and mostly when the word diet entered my mind (daily)!  I gained more weight when I was on a diet than not.  That realization required me to tap into some deep seated beliefs.

More good news: I know from firsthand experience that it is absolutely possible to build a new relationship with food, break the chains food has wrapped around you, and actually start living outside the obsession of your next meal!

Fast forward a few years. I was presented with the daunting task of losing baby fat. Seeking quick results, I was introduced to an extremely safe, fast way to lose weight and was able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight in just 1 month! Voila! I have discovered the perfect combination of a fast, healthy mind and body transformation.

Back to what feeds my soul…I am 100% invested in seeing my clients first and foremost get the weight off,  literally step into their ideal body, all while getting the “tools” they need so that they never see the weight again and can actually love  looking  in the mirror every morning!
